Some self-reccing - the Hannibal edition

I've got little to rescue from tumblr which isn't fic, and the best way I could think of putting some of that on here was a 'best of' self-rec post. I posted something similar on pillowfort so apologies if I'm essentially spamming you on multiple platforms- makes it feel more like home to have my fic on here. Just think of them as scatter cushions :) 

1. Cathexis - up first as this is still my most popular fic, and it seems to get lots of re-reads (so people tell me!). This is my first ever piece of fiction (and I do mean ever) so be gentle, I've matured a lot since then. But I still think it's a good read and a lot of fun ;) The premise is simple - Hannibal's secret is BDSM, not cannibalism, and his interest in Will is far from strictly professional. Lots of porn, lots of exploration of BDSM dynamics, lots of relationshippy/romantic stuff but with an edge. 12 chapters, 57k words. And if you want more porn after, there's timestamps!

2. Quicksilver - the one you might know me from, if not from Cathexis :) An AU and series created with theseavoices, and the thing I'm working on right now. Will is a student (aged 19-20 over the course of the various parts) and genderfluid. He interviews Hannibal for a paper and immediately invokes the kind of obsession only Hannibal can have. Another romance with an edge, and a ton of porn. The main series has 4 parts totalling 25k words, the timestamps series has 5 works and 27k words, plus there's loads of amazing art :0

3. Inosculation - my next most popular fic, a series of two short-ish multi-chapter fics coming in at 16k words. This is maybe (?) my most favourite thing I've written - at least it feels like the kind of thing I would write entirely from scratch. After the fall, Hannibal is severely injured and comatose. When he finally wakes, he finds himself in Will's rustic cabin and pretty much at Will's mercy - he's had a long time to reflect without Hannibal's influence. A cabin fic but also a 'they have a lot to work out' fic. Lots of UST. Oh yeah, and Will gets a dog :)

4. The Vessel - a not-for-everyone fic but I really loved writing this and I even occasionally re-read it (what a thing to admit to :0). I think the Jack/Will/Hannibal tag frightens people off but it shouldn't - it's complicated and I can't really explain without spoiling it. Let's just say I intended it to reflect heavily on the push-pull dynamics of Will's canon relationships with Jack and Hannibal. More of a fantasy AU than anything else, Will has grown up a slave and has risen to the highest rank possible under the Father's (Jack's) watchful eye - that of the Vessel, a important ritual role which requires him to absorb the sufferings of others. Kept secluded and separate, he's intrigued by the mysterious Seer (Hannibal) who has wandered far and wide, and who has many stories to tell. But does this Seer have an ulterior motive? 14 chapters, 43k words.

5. Gifts - sequel to Cathexis, but I thought I'd mention it as it's a Christmas fic XD. A Christmas fic with chastity kink. Yep, I like to mix things up. But it's really a relationship fic about trust and loss and making your own kind of family. 5 chapters, 23k words.

6. Morcilla - set in the same universe as Inosculation but doesn't cross over much with it. A meditation on how exactly you might go about loving someone who also wants to eat you. Romantic cannibalism, I guess?? (But no vore.) One-shot, 4k words.

7. Proxy - a more recent fic and one I'm particularly pleased with. I'm just very obsessed with Hannibal's leather gloves okay. My only S2-set fic - Will is struggling to resolve the two sides of himself and the two sides of Hannibal. There is some catharsis involving said gloves :))) One-shot, 3.8k words.

8. New Heaven, New Earth - written for the Radiance anthology, this is me having a go at wing-fic (which was a big thing when I was a wee fandom baby). Will has dreams and ofc Hannibal has Opinions about that. A moody, tropical post-fall fic where Will still hasn't quite chosen his path with Hannibal. One-shot, 6.8k words.

9. Untouchable - an epic wank, Hannibal-style :) and written for the One Stringed Melody challenge. Set immediately post-S1, Hannibal finds the Will of his fantasies can be as interesting and challenging as the real one. About as close to PWP as I ever get - features plugs, edging and Will being more than a touch Dom. One-shot, 3.4k words.

10. Wrong Turn - very short (written for the FFT2 Kickstarter) but oh my this was fun. I challenged myself to get as much plot into 1k words as I could, and I think I did pretty well :) Post-fall with supernatural elements, Will thinks their escape has been too easy. Hannibal tells him not to worry but is he about to learn an important lesson? One-shot.
